IULM at Milan Film Festival 2026 with talks, short films and student projects

From June 5 to 9, theIULM University participates in the Milan Film Festival with screenings, meetings and activities involving students, faculty and audiovisual laboratories of the University

The Milan Film Festival sees again this year a significant participation of theIULM University, present with screenings, talks, workshop activities and the direct involvement of students within the event dedicated to cinema and contemporary audiovisual languages.

From June 5 to 9, between Palazzo del Cinema Anteo, Garibaldi Neighborhood House e House of Artists, theUniversity will bring to the Festival several projects that tell the story of IULM's interdisciplinary approach to cinema, creativity and audiovisual education.

Opening the calendar will be the project "My Fashion Milan," a two-minute video made by the students of "Global Communication Management for Fashion" of the Master's Degree Course in Fashion Communication and Luxury Strategies, led by lecturer Virginia Arabella Hill. The screening is scheduled for the morning of June 5 as part of the Festival's official program.

On June 6 at 11 a.m., at CAM Garibaldi - Chiostro Bramantesco, the talk "New IULM cinema and the journeys around the camera" will be held, a moment of confrontation dedicated to the new forms of cinematographic language and the creative experiences developed in the University.

Space will also be given to the projects of IULMovie Lab: in fact, on Monday, June 8 at 12:30 p.m., four short films(Sasso Carta Forbice, Volveras, Hotel Solitude and L'Antipasto) made within the creative factory of IULM University will be screened.

IULM's participation in the Festival will also involve selected students in the jury activities of the event, offering them a direct experience in contact with professionals and productions of the contemporary film scene.

The program will conclude on June 9, from 2 to 4:30 p.m., at the Palazzo del Cinema Anteo with the screening of the documentary Cannibals, also produced by IULMmovie Lab, in the presence of writer Alessandro Bertante, who will moderate the discussion following the screening.

With this participation, theIULM University confirms its commitment to the promotion of film culture and the enhancement of educational experiences that put students in direct dialogue with the world of creative and audiovisual industries.
