The subject of his research is also the literature of the second half of the 19th century with a focus on the Scapigliatura experience, investigated as much in thematic and sociological as in historical-philological terms. A privileged point of view in his studies is also the relationship between journalism and literature(reportage, literary journalism, elzeviro), which arose from his interest in publicity in the Scapigliatura era and later landed in radio cultural journalism in the post-World War II period.
